Registration - for morning tournaments, please register at 8.30am. For afternoon tournaments, please register for 12.30pm. Firsts games are 9am and 1pm respectively.
Rules for tournament:
Players in the Pre U7 to U15 age groups must be under their respective age limits on 31st August 2025.
All managers must report to the control tent and submit team sheets at least 30 minutes before their competition starts.
The competition for Pre U7’s and U7’s will be 5-a-side.
Teams to consist of 8 players with 5 on the pitch at any one time.
The competition for U8’s, U9’s and U9 Girls will be 7-a-side.
Teams to consist of 10 players with 7 on the pitch at any one time.
The competition for U10’s and U11’s will be 9-a-side.
Teams to consist of 12 players with 9 on the pitch at any one time.
The competition for U12’s, U13’s and U15’s will be 11-a-side.
Teams to consist of 15 players with 11 on the pitch at any one time.
The use of “rolling subs” is allowed in all age groups.
Players can only play for one team on the same day.
Proof of age must be produced on request.
Duration of games will be as follows:
12 minutes one way in all games for Pre U7/U7/U8/U9 category
15 minutes one way for all games in U10/U11/U12/U13/U15 category
Group qualifiers will be decided by:
3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw.
Goal difference, if teams are level on points. (Goals scored if goal difference is identical)
If teams are still level, penalties will decide based on 3 penalty kicks per side and then sudden death.
In the event of a team not fulfilling a fixture, the opposing side will be awarded a win and + 2 goals.
For Pre-U7, U7 and U8s, only group games will take place.
For U9, U10, U11, U12, U13 and U15 age groups, the top 2 teams from the groups will progress to main cup semi-finals and 3rd/4th place will progress to plate semi-finals.
In the event of less teams in an age group, a round robin format will be played with the top 2 teams progressing to the final.
In the semi-finals and finals, no extra time will be played if the scores are level at full time. Penalties will decide the winner based on 3 penalty kicks per side, then sudden death.
In the under Pre7’s/7’s/8’s, goal kicks shall be taken by way of a drop kick from the goalkeeper’s hands or on the floor. Also, goalkeepers in this age group are allowed to pick the ball up from a back pass without being penalised. The retreat rule is in place for U7 – U9 Categories.
Deliberate Heading is not permitted in age group U9 or below. In the same age groups, throw ins are replaced with Kick-ins or Dribble-ins.
In the under 9’s to under 15’s competitions, goal kicks must be taken from the lines of the penalty area (6-yard line for 11-a-side).
There will be no offside except in 9-a-side and 11-a-side games. Each team to provide own linesman/flags.
All rules will be as Football Association Rules of the game, unless over-ruled above.
Pitch dimensions will be as per team size (5-a-side. 7-a-side etc).
If a player receives 2 cautions or is sent off during the competition, they will be disqualified from playing in any further matches on that particular day.
Any player, club official or spectator who is cautioned and/or dismissed from the field of play will be reported to their relevant County Association and may be subject to further disciplinary action as deemed necessary.
All players are advised to consider their own private insurance to cover claims arising from their own injury or that of another player.
In the event of a colour clash, the second named team will change (bibs are accepted and to be provided by own team) The first named team to provide the match ball in each game. A toss of the coin will decide kick off and choice of ends.
All clubs entered in the competition must be affiliated to an association which in itself is affiliated to the Football Association.
In the under Pre 7/7/8’s competition all players will receive a medal for their efforts on the day. For all other age groups, trophies will be awarded to winners of cup and plate finals.
The organisers will not be deemed responsible for any injury/damage to any person/property/vehicle however caused, throughout the duration of the Tournament.
No Registered Academy or Centre of Excellence players are allowed to play in this tournament.
PLEASE NOTE THAT NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED AT THE TOURNAMENT.
NO BARBEQUES WILL BE PERMITTED ON SITE. A café and bar will be open for refreshments and food.
Consider the amount of alcohol consumption and the example set to young children and their families.
